USTA Nevada’s Futures #1 Junior Tournament was held Saturday, January 16th at the Darling Tennis Center. A total of 60 players competed in the one-day, Shoot-out tourney.
Futures are a new junior tournament category in southern Nevada. Nationally ranked juniors, players ranked in the top 50 of the Intermountain Section, and players who have won a junior sanctioned district tourney, are not eligible to compete in Futures events. However for those players who are eligible, Futures match results do count toward a player’s district and sectional ranking.
