LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV redshirt freshman Rene Ruegamer earned two titles on the final day of competition at the newly renamed Larry Easley Memorial Classic on a Halloween Sunday at Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Ruegamer, out of Wurzburg, Germany, rallied past teammate Alex Bull in the Flight Two singles championship, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2. Earlier in the day, Ruegamer teamed up with Bull to eke out a 9-8 victory over Rebels Mehdi Bouras and Bernard Schoeman for the doubles crown. The Rebel pairing of Charlie Alvarado and Kyle Lynch also won the doubles consolation final with an 8-5 win over Patrick Schimmelbauer and Hugo Ramadier of Northern Arizona 8-5.

Auburn's Alex Stamchev won the Flight Flight singles title with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Arizona's Jay Goldman.

"It was great to see UNLV represented everywhere on the final day," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "The guys have worked hard this fall and it is showing on the court. Everyone is excited for the spring season."

UNLV is now off until opening dual-match play on January 21 by hosting Texas Tech.
