Annual Meeting Date January 18th, 2012 @ 6:00pm at

USTA-Nevada Offices: 1333 N. Buffalo Drive, Suite 130, Las Vegas, NV 89128

USTA-Nevada invites all USTA members to attend the Annual Meeting January 18th, 2012 at the USTA-Nevada office at 6pm. Please RSVP to Julia at support@ustanevada.com if you plan to attend. If the response is too large for the USTA-Nevada Offices, a new venue will be selected so please check back the week of January 3, 2012, to confirm the location. The Annual Meeting will include an update on the organization's programs, progress, and vision. It will also include voting in the new Board members. All USTA members can vote using the ballot and mailing it in by the deadline below. The ballot will be posted on the web site around January 5, 2012.

USTA-Nevada Board of Directors nomination and election timeline

Persons interested in applying to the Nominating Committee to be considered for the Board please submit (1) a letter in writing stating your desire to serve and (2) your resume to the USTA-Nevada office c/o Julia Barrera by December 10, 2011 at 4pm. You must obtain an official letter from Julia Barrera signed on USTA-Nevada letterhead acknowledging we have received your letter stating your desire to serve and (2) your resume for you to be considered. The letter and resume can be mailed to or walked in to USTA-Nevada offices 1333 N. Buffalo Drive, Suite 130, Las Vegas, NV 89128 and must include a pre-stamped self-addressed envelope so that we can acknowledge the receipt of your letter and resume in writing. This letter must arrive by mail by the deadline date.

Here is the timeline:
December 10th, 2011: Deadline for applications. Nomination process is closed, Nomination committee meets to vote for the slate
January 3rd: Nominating committee presents the slate to the board of Directors. Board meeting to approve the slate - conference call or email

January 5th: Executive Director posts approved slate/ballot onto USTA Nevada web site

January 18th: Slate is voted on at the annual meeting
The following pre-requisites will be used as preliminary guidelines for the USTA-Nevada Nominating Committee during their selection and screening process for NTA Board of Director candidates:

-Resume including:
-Past and current volunteer and committee participation for USTA Nevada.
-Volunteer work for other non profits and or tennis organizations.
-Candidates with USTA-Nevada committee experience will be strongly considered.
-Should be available if the nominating committee decides to call for a personal interview or to question a resume.
-The interested candidate should submit personal references.
-The candidate may not have any USTA-Nevada outstanding or upheld official protests or grievances as a player or participant within the last eighteen (18) months.
-Candidate must have a schedule that allows and be willing to attend Board of Director meetings and other required activities.
Any USTA-Nevada member may nominate themselves by mailing the information listed below to the committee as long as it arrives at the USTA-Nevada office care of Julia Barrera no later then December 10, 2011 4pm. You can arrange to drop off your resume by calling Julia at 702-792-8384.

All of those who apply should meet the following criteria by the nomination deadline:

-Provided a Letter of why you want to serve
-Provided a resume, including tennis activities and non-profit activities
-Note what USTA-Nevada committee you served on
-Must be a USTA-Nevada member
-Should fit a specific need on the board
-Have a desire to unify the community and organization
-Have a desire to help fullfil our mission and strategic plan
