REQUIREMENTS TO BE A BALL KID Ball Kids must be between the ages of 12 and 20 years old. Physically able to perform 2 hours on court sessions with one hour rest between on court sessions. AND complete these 5 steps: Step 1: Fill out the Ball Kid Online Application ASAP (like today). There are only 30 spots left at this point Step 2: Use the Ball Kid Manual and pass the Ball Kid Quiz Step 3: Create an account on Shiftboard (all messages about BNP come to this email so make sure it is one that you check regularly and each child must have a different one) Step 4: Once you are accepted sign up for shifts. All Ball kids Must work a minimum of (5) sessions which will include two (2) day sessions before end of play Monday, March 13. New Ball Kids will also be required to work one day shift on each of the first three days ? Monday, March 6, Tuesday, March 7 and Wednesday, March 8. You must also attend one of the Uniform distribution/Orientation sessions on Saturday, March 4 or Sunday, March 5 held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, CA. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THESE RULES IF YOU DO NOT MEET THEM YOU MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO COME BECAUSE ALL THE SHIFTS MAY BE TAKEN! Step 4: You will complete your training in the Fall All out-of-town ball kid applicants: Train at a Training Site that has been approved by the BNP Paribas Open Ball Kids Committee. Each site will schedule a minimum of (4) training sessions and the kids will be expected to attend and complete (4) training sessions (may require more). I will be training the Salt Lake City Team at Ogden Athletic Club and The Las Vegas Team TBD Step 5: Complete a final pass off which will be scheduled for a college match or the Las Vegas Tennis Open After they approve the application BNP will email them the welcome letter.
