LAS VEGAS MEN’S TENNIS TEAM FINISH SECOND

TUCSON, ARIZ., OCTOBER 16, 2016 - The men’s tennis team from Las Vegas, Nevada, representing the USTA Intermountain Section, finished second at the USTA League Adult 40 & Over 3.0 National Championships held at the Hilton El Conquistador Resort in Tucson, Ariz.

The Las Vegas team lost to a team from Westfield, New Jersey, 2-3 in the Championship match. Earlier in the day, the Las Vegas team defeated a team from St. Ocala, Florida, 4-1 in the semifinals. They advanced this far by winning their round-robin flight contested Friday and Saturday.

The team is captained by John Terry and features Rod Faircloth, Vinod Singh, Robert Roig, Mike Little, Efraim Zaken, Jack Braman, Matthew Vannah, Frank Nemec and plays at the Club Ridges Tennis Club.
