| Players from all over the world came together to compete the USTA $50,000 Women's Pro-Circuit Event at Red Rock Country Club. Players ranked as high as 84 in the world competed. Local phenom Asia Muhammad thrilled crowds reaching the quarterfinals with a sprained ankle before falling to the eventual winner. Regina Kulikova (RUS) captured the singles title and Aniko Kapros (HUN) and Augustina Lepore (ARG) were crowned doubles champions. Red Rock will host this event annually with next years dates already set for September 27th 2010. ?This was an incredible, intimate event for Las Vegas,? said USTA-Nevada Executive Director Ryan Wolfington. ?None of it would be possible without the team at Red Rock , the USTA and their sponsors including Lexus of Las Vegas, Hand Surgery Specialists of Nevada, The Wynn Las Vegas and Michelob Ultra.? September 25-28 Darling Tennis Center hosted the 2009 National Open Championships presented by Snell and Wilmer benefiting LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the American Cancer Society. There were 32 teams participating in this event: 20 Men's Open teams from all over the United States as well as 12 Women's Open teams. The player's party presented by Snell and Wilmer was held at the Darling Tennis Center on Friday, September 26 with a DJ, complimentary food and drinks, and a disco/80's theme. |

Dear USTA-Nevada juniors and adults, Continuing our efforts to offer fun social events for all of you we have some free pro football tickets for the first 250 to respond to this email. My uncles close friend Paul Pelosi (Husband of Nacy Pelosi who is Speaker of the House) has extended an invitation for all the USTA-Nevada juniors to attend the new pro football league game this Thursday October 8 at 6pm as his guest. We also need many adult chaperone's. All persons willing to chaperon will get an extra ticket to bring a guest. Chaperone's just enjoy the game along with the juniors! |
