Professional tennis is officially back in Las Vegas with local phenom Asia Muhammad and fellow up and coming American Coco VANDEWEGHE (USA) defeating the #2 seed Agnes SZATMARI (ROU) and Riza ZALAMEDA (USA), 7-6(2), 6-4 in doubles on center court. "The team at Red Rock brought pro tennis back in a big way today,"said USTA-Nevada Executive Director Ryan Wolfington. "Red Rock Country Club's center court is an amazing place to watch professional tennis, intimate, inviting and surrounded by beautiful clouds and red rock mountains." The events included a "kids day" and many nice touches like a VIP section which included free refreshments for ticket holders and water with ZizzZaz! Tomorrow, Wednesday September 30th: HIGHLIGHTS - Asia Muhammad will attempt to fight off her recent injury and the #7 seed in singles on center court at 4pm. -Day passes only $5.00 -All ticket holders get free entry into the Wynn Player party at Blush Boutique Nightclub from 7 to 10 p.m. Players under the age of 21 will be allowed inside the nightclub from 7 to 9 p.m. and restricted to the outdoor patio area. All attendees 21 or older will receive a wristband upon entering the nightclub. Dress is casual chic. No hats, over sized jeans, baggies or athletic wear allowed inside the nightclub. |
